We’re Embarking on an Adventure

We’re Maureen and Jeremy–not-quite-ready-to-retire Baby Boomers who are in the process of moving from the United States to Ecuador.

Currently residing in Colorado, we are eagerly counting down the days until March 22, 2023, when we’ll be flying to Ecuador (with our two cats) and beginning our new lives as expats.

Join us as we navigate the bureaucracy, a myriad of decisions, the challenges, and the emotional highs and lows of this adventure.

Follow our journey as we (hopefully!) progress from knowing nothing about expatriating to Ecuador to becoming emigration experts.

When we decided to move to Ecuador, we found plenty of info online from people who’d already made the move. But we wanted to hear from folks who were actually in the process of moving to Ecuador. We’ve created this website so you can follow along and experience our adventure in real time.
